Let's all wish Flyers defenseman Mark Streit a happy 36th Birthday.

His shipment of vitamins are in!

I'm not looking forward to tonight. It's going to be the '97 finals all over again. Except, this time, we know what's going to happen.

The Hawks goaltending duo of Antti Raanta/Kent Simpson is pretty formidable.

Honestly, Raanta hasn't looked bad from what I've seen. Factor in his backup status, and we've got six degrees of doom in store tonight.

I've watched some Blackhawk games and the key for the Flyers will be a group prayer before the game and Emery standing on his head during the game.

Huh? Hawks are on the second game of a back to back with travel, Possible the 4th goaltender on their depth chart is in goal. It's going to take a miracle of 1980 USA Olympic proportion to win tonight.

How did the Sharks do at home last night against an Islanders team that had lost 10 games in a row?

This is one of the "measuring stick" games where we can see just how bad we really are. Or just how close.........

Anything less than a full out 60 minute effort is unacceptable. If this team cant get ready and up for this team on this stage, they cant get up for anyone.

Nice to see a preview of Streit's "Oh poop..." face as Toews blows right past him.

Frankly, the only fatigue the Blackhawks should be feeling is in their arms from raising them so much last night. It wasn't even close. I missed the end of the Sharks Isles game, but the rest of the team owe Poulin drinks for making it even remotely possible to win that one. He stood on his head and kept them it it on his own last night.

On a side note, the NHL Gamecenter is actually pretty rocking.

Glad to know Bill thinks we'll get destroyed...

I think we lose but I also think the boys actually show up tonight and have a good game. It'll be close...

(Or so I hope!)

The Flyers are going to need a crisis of character leading to personal revelation, a training montage, the Eye of the Tiger, and probably good old fashioned plexiglass in the net mouth to pull this one out.

If the play the Hawks within 2 goals everyone on the roster gets a cookie.

Except Rinaldo, he's been a freshy pie.

I watched the entire game. Poulin was unreal. stopped 46 of 48 shots, and 3 out of 4 in the shootout.

Not a bad idea. Emery skates out with some transparent plexiglass taped to his back that is conveniently shaped to fit the goalmouth. The Hawks will be confused as to why shots into wide-open nets don't go in when Emery just stands there, but that's on them.

Don't worry. I got it covered. After the game last night in Dallas, I went out drinking with Kane, Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Sharp and Hossa. I drank them under the table. No way they play tonight. They will be out with 'flu like symptoms'

Simpson has been horrible this year in Rockford. He's posted somewhere around a 3.50 gaa. Raanta should hopefully get the start again tonight. Regardless of who's in net, expect the Hawks to play a solid defensive game to limit scoring chances.

Just get Kane and his brother to take a cab to the game.
